The Life That Isn’t Yours

Chill,

Take a deep breath and place your mind at rest. It’s all going to come together.

It’s completely up to you to find something, or nothing in this read.

How many times have you, closed your eyes to dream while the sun is out just to escape the real?

How many times have you secretly wished, a part of your life didn’t belong to you?

“It fosters necessity” some will say, “it’s a precursor to change” others will say.

I tell you, it’s a Slippery Slope!

Have you ever searched, so hard just to find that one thing you believe is most impossible to live without in this world?

Did you find it? I’m sure you did, if you looked hard enough, but DID YOU FIND IT?

Did you find it as “that one thing you believe is most impossible to live without in this world”?

I’m guessing you didn’t.

Ever wonder why?

Chase your dreams the world will tell you. Go to school, get the grades, graduate in the first, hustle hard… Another slippery slope I tell you!

We have taken for levity, certain necessities and placed so much emphasis on trivial things, which has made the system by which the most of us operate a flawed system.

Now, the educational system isn’t the flawed system in question neither is the governmental system.

There is a restructuring that needs to come to our minds.

Not in any way belittling or disregarding the importance of a school in the conventional sense. I am in support of School and Certification. This article is not a drive to discourage either. It’s a drive towards reforming our minds first, then our society in embracing and certifying seemingly unconventional routes.

Education however, is the best investment you can make in yourself.

Seems like I’m digressing? I’m not. This is a really wide topic and I have to share it in just as many lines so you don’t lose your focus.

Have your heard of Purpose?

Yes, purpose. It is one of those necessities that we have taken for levity.

“the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.” – Oxford dictionary

“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.” – Proverbs 20:5 KJV

We struggle so much these days, running after dreams that aren’t originally ours. We live the life of the society and forget to live our own lives. We spend our days searching for luxury and our sweat pours as we toil for a life we don’t even want…deep down.

Learn this today, any life that isn’t yours is beneath you!

Going back to where I started from. It isn’t a bad thing to have dreams of living a comfortable life or even a life with extra comforts but it isn’t the end of the world either.

We need to refrain from such myopic views and ideologies.

“Getting there” can be achieved through numerous routes. It’s the one that we take that matters most.

In my last article, I spoke about an individual consciousness being the only scale that can be used to measure possibilities. One of the things I was speaking to there was having a mind of your own.

Have you ever thought, outside wealth, marriage, kids, comfort… what else do I really want that won’t necessarily be shown off to anyone but myself?

Something just for me, that thing I want to do or that person I want to be because it is what I am made for or who I am made to be.

If you haven’t, it isn’t too late neither is it too early.

I tell you, this is a precursor to finding yourself.

Once you find yourself, you stop; being jealous of people successes, being afraid you’re not going to be successful in life, being in competition with anyone but yourself, looking for shortcuts to a life beneath you, running helter skelter trying to make dead ends link.

Take some time to yourself, days or even weeks.

Pray, question each of your motives, analyze your drive, restructure your logic and Aspire to be You!

Purpose is just one of two necessities I will be discussing.
